Join us on Saturday, September 20 for our annual river cleanup. This event is focused on removing trash and restoring the health of the Great Miami River. It’s a day for communities to demonstrate their desire for clean water and healthy rivers. It’s an opportunity to learn about our river, and it’s a time to come together with your families, your neighbors, your community, and your friends to accomplish something vital and worthy on behalf of our Great Miami River.
There are numerous locations seeking your assistance. A full list of locations can be found at www.cleansweepofthegreatmiamiriver.org/locations
Please register on the Clean Sweep website as we use these details to make sure each location has enough materials and tshirts. https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/ev/reg/323m3xb
Children: We welcome children to the cleanup, though anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If you are bringing someone else's children, please have their parent/guardian complete the waiver and bring a copy with you. The waiver can be found at www.cleansweepofthegreatmiamiriver.org/volunteer
Kayaks: Most of the cleanup sections are on foot, walking the river banks. There is one group who will be going out in the Franklin/Middletown area in kayaks. If you are interested in joining them, please email Melissa at MProffitt@warrencountyohio.gov
