Volunteer: Outreach Volunteer (Summer Only)About:
We need more than coaches to make First Tee possible. We rely on volunteers — sometimes year-round — to accomplish our mission, and not all of those goals involve golf. We also need support off the course to deliver our program to kids and teens in the community and recreation centers in our communities.
Responsibilities: Outreach Volunteers assist the First Tee Staff, Coaches, and Youth Leaders at the center by: Providing basic sports instruction, monitoring safety zones, organizing groups, and leading activity stations. Requirements: The safety of our kids is our top priority. That is why all volunteers are required to complete a chapter provided background check, and, if applicable, Safesport Training before volunteering. To get started, please visit the volunteer page on our website. Available Opportunities: Field Day Takeovers Field Day Takeovers focus on bringing the First Tee experience to those without access to a golf course. We bring the equipment, staff, and volunteers to deliver an engaging program at a partner facility. CRC Community Days with First Tee First Tee has partnered with the Cincinnati Recreation Commission and the Tony Yates Junior Golf Academy to host all-immersive life and golf skills program for kids and teens in recreation centers across Greater Cincinnati. (New) Afternoon Community Golf Days – Reeves Golf Course New for 2022 is the Afternoon Community Golf Days program. Like the morning session, First Tee will host kids and teens from recreation and youth centers. However, there will be a greater emphasis on goal setting, managing conflict, and dealing with diversity in addition to golf instruction. Additional Information: For more information, view the attached document for program dates and details.

Volunteer: Angel Feet AmbassadorAn Angel Feet Ambassador is someone who helps promotes and bring awareness about our Angel Feet program and helps collect NEW Socks and NEW tennis Shoes for precious "Angels" around the world. Missions In Motion International Ministries' Angel Feet program allows groups and individuals to donate NEW Socks and NEW tennis Shoes that will be hand-delivered to those in need. We have visited various parts of the USA as well as developing nations and have seen the need for children whom we call "Angels" to have socks and shoes so they can attend school. The socks and shoes also provide protection from everyday germs and infection. Our Angel Feet program has the amazing opportunity to serve people in the USA as well as developing nations. We get the honor of cleaning the Angels' precious feet, then we put NEW SOCKS and NEW tennis SHOES on them. We have personally seen where just the simple washing of their feet has calmed a crying baby, put a smile on a mama’s face knowing her child now has socks and shoes, as well as a smile on a child’s face! A group of teenage boys were so excited to have a pair of shoes that fit their feet! You can also join us on a trip and help wash the children's feet and put new socks and new shoes on them. Volunteer: Help Organize the Food PantryOnce a month FTHP has to sort through its food pantry to ensure the canned and boxed food we have in our pantry to serve to our guests is fresh. Our pantry shelves are organized by product and expiration date. We get donations in daily, and because food preparation takes precedence over task such as these, we often don't have time to place items where they belong. We need volunteers to come in once a month to check the expiration dates on our inventory, and organize our pantry, so that we can remain compliant and in good standing.
