NOTICE OF USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

Upon signing up for a volunteer opportunity through the platform, ComMUnity Connect users’ names, telephone numbers, and email addresses will be shared with the third party entity that is advertising the volunteer opportunity, and will be available to the Butler County United Way for tracking purposes. Miami University students in particular should be aware that any personal information submitted through the ComMUnity Connect platform to an outside organization are not education records and are not protected from disclosure under Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). All users of the ComMUnity Connect platform should carefully examine the privacy policies of each outside organization before submitting personal information through the platform.
