Hamilton Urban Garden Systems (HUGS)

HUGS is a non profit, whose mission is to design, create, implement and sustain a year round Local Food System in the greater Hamilton area. Our vision is for every man, woman and child in Hamilton and the surrounding communities to have access to nutrition education and gardening information, as well as fresh produce, and an opportunity to grow in their own garden plots. We encourage community unity.

HUGS believes that good nutrition is vital to living a healthy lifestyle, and its vital for a healthy community. HUGS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to urban agriculture, community gardening, health and nutritional education, as well as non traditional gardening methods. HUGS serves the community by providing residents of the 2nd Ward with access to fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as educating families about healthy food choices.
