Who We Are

The Community Meal Center, CMC, serves physically and spiritually hungry people in the community. Our guests are not required to prove their level of need, poverty or residence in Butler County. Our volunteers serve guests and each other with dignity and respect creating a community of unity where social-economic stigma and barriers are lessen as we all "break bread" together. The meal is served restaurant style by many volunteers including, but not limited to, students, civic & religious organizations, business professionals, scout troops and even CMC guests. Musicians provide entertainment during the dinner hours. Many other volunteers bring their various talents and gifts to share. For example, free foot care is provided for our guests every other month throughout the winter months. CMC has no paid staff and operates solely by the generosity of volunteers and donations from partners in our community. CMC receives an annual grant from the Charles H. Dater Foundation and is thankful for all of our partners and volunteers who support our mission.

What We Do
