Tano Bistro- Food Forward

As we are sure you are aware, the unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has caused much uncertainty and unrest throughout our region and the world. It is during a time such as this, that we need to be vigilant about helping our fellow man as much as we can. School closings have caused many of our youth to be denied the daily nutrition provided to them through school lunches. Higher risk groups such as the elderly and those with compromised health conditions need to practice social distancing and therefore, have a higher need for food assistance.

In order to address these circumstances, we must formulate new methods to provide food to those in need. Tano Bistro in Hamilton is looking to help those struggling with food insecurity right now with their food-forward program. When a customer orders their meal, they would have the opportunity to provide a hot meal to a family in need for $35. The meal will include enough food for a family of four, it will include a protein of their choice, with two sides and a biscuit per family member. The Care Center will be handling all the donated meals.
