Volunteers will work with the MU Botanical Society to use loppers to cut invasive Amur Honeysuckle bushes, and small bottles of glyphosate to spray the cut stumps to prevent regrowth. Small plants may be removed by the root by pulling by hand, or using hammers. We will be walking just over 1/2 mile from the Peffer Parking Lot to the worksite, and then another half mile back.
Volunteers should dress for the weather, wear long pants and close-toed shoes or boots, and bring a water bottle. Keep in mind that the chemical spray includes a dye...don't wear your favorite clothing. Gloves and tools are provided.
