Description

This tiny sanctuary next to Peffer Park in Oxford is covered in wildflowers in the spring. A part of the reason it is such as great spot for wildflowers is that fall volunteers help to remove honeysuckle, privet, and other invasives. We head out in the fall so as not to trample the wildlfowers in their growing season.

What to bring (if you have them):

  • Cutting tools such as pruners and loppers
  • Work gloves
  • Clothes that can get dirty
  • Water

They will have:

  • Extra tools and gloves
  • Herbicide
  • Snacks

Parking:  Parking is available in Peffer Park. Walk across the footbridge towards the shelter and turn left. You will see the group in the back corner next to the entrance to Silvoor. There is no parking on Silvoor Lane.

Walking from Oxford: You can enter Silvoor from Silvoor Lane. Take the steps and the trail down to the bottom of the hill to where the group is meeting. There is no parking on Silvoor Lane.
