Bilingual Volunteers Needed – Su Casa Health Fair
Su Casa Hispanic Center, a program of Catholic Charities, is seeking 28 bilingual (Spanish/English) volunteers for our upcoming Health Fair on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 12:00pm to 4:30pm at St. Julie Billiart – Fenmont Center, 229 N 3rd St, Hamilton, OH 45011.
This free, open‑to‑the‑public health fair provides a wide range of health screenings, community resources, and family support services to residents of Hamilton and the surrounding areas. Services are offered in a welcoming, bilingual environment to help reduce barriers to care.
Volunteer Roles & Duties
Interpreter volunteers act as the communication bridge between guests and the medical providers offering screenings. Volunteer assignments include:
Registration
- Welcome guests
- Check them in
- Provide orientation to the event
General Medical Screenings
- Interpret during blood pressure checks, glucose tests, and other basic screenings
Vision Screenings
- Provide one‑on‑one interpretation for eye care providers
Audiology Screenings
- Assist hearing screening providers with interpretation
Physical Therapy Screenings
- Interpret during brief PT assessments
Mammogram Registration
- Help guests sign up for future mammogram appointments
Waiting Area Leads (3 roles)
- Oversee the medical, vision, or audiology/PT waiting areas
- Manage flow between stations
- Send guests to screening rooms when providers are ready
