Mud Mania volunteers will support our staff while participants slip, slide, climb, and crawl their way through a mud obstacle course featuring a water slide, muddy, pools, and more. Volunteers will assist with tasks throughout the day like setup, cleanup, registration, monitoring the course, and more. Specific volunteer roles are listed below:
Registration Support:
- Ensure participants sign in and complete waiver(s).
- Collect participation fees and distribute wristbands. (ONLY AFTER THEIR WAIVER IS SIGNED)
- Verify that the participant’s footwear fits snugly. If they do not, send them to the duct tape station to wrap shoes/feet.
- Instruct participants that no buttons, keychains, or metal may be present in or on pockets that may damage course materials.
- Shifts Needed:
- Friday, July 29 - 10:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Friday, July 29 – 12:30 p.m. to ~2:45 p.m.
- *You are welcome to work the entire duration of the event 10:15 a.m. to ~2:45 p.m.*
Course Marshal:
- Check that participants have wristbands.
- Instruct participants if footwear comes loose when on the course that they must leave the course and wrap/re-wrap shoes/fee.
- Supervise the Little Mudder Area.
- You may get wet! Be prepared to enter the water if a participant needs assistance.
- Shifts Needed:
- Friday, July 29 - 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Friday, July 29 – 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday, July 30 – 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Saturday, July 30 – 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Slide Monitor
- Check that participants have wristbands.
- Instruct participants if footwear comes loose when on the course, they must leave the course and wrap/re-wrap shoes/feet.
- Instruct participants that no buttons, keychains, or metal may be present in or on pockets that may damage course materials.
- Monitor slide to confirm that participants have cleared the pool at the bottom before allowing the next group to go.
- Assist participants as needed.

- Friday, July 29 – 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday, July 30 – 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
