Gleaning from the University Farm

Expired

Description

Help feed your hungry neighbors in Oxford and Butler County, harvesting some of the freshest food available!  From May to November, we meet weekly on Wednesdays from 9-12, to help harvest produce from the Miami University farm, just outside of Oxford, and donate to 2 area hunger relief agencies.

Activities include bending, stooping, carrying 5-30 lbs., etc.  Participants must dress for the weather, whether heat, rain, snow, or cold.  Close-toed shoes are required; boots recommended.  Please, bring your own water.

Specific instructions are emailed to registered participants by 5PM, the Tuesday prior to each event.  We ask that only registered participants show up out of respect for the farm.  All participants must sign a waiver (attached, below).

Specific questions can be directed to Sue Plummer, sw-ohio@endhunger.org; 513-458-9808
