Join us for the inaugural MetroParks of Butler County Winter Hike Series! This weekly hiking event will highlight the beauty of Butler County in winter by exploring a different park each week. These guided hikes will average about 3 miles and end with a hot beverage and a bowl of soup.
We are looking for volunteers to act as group sweeps working in pairs of two bringing up the rear of each group making sure no one is separated and letting the staff lead know about any issues the group may encounter from behind. Volunteers need to be comfortable hiking 3 miles. Volunteers must be 14 years or older. First aid training is a plus but not required.
