Sound the Alarm

Building Block events are our way of joining together with our neighbors throughout Butler County to give back in a way that will build a solid foundation for the future. Each Building Block event is tailored to one of the building blocks for a good life: Health, Financial Stability/Basic Needs, or Education.

Butler County United Way and American Red Cross Greater Cincinnati Tri-State Chapter are partnering together by rallying volunteers all around Butler County to install free smoke alarms nationwide, as part of our Sound the Alarm events. We will install free smoke alarms, create escape plans, and share fire safety information. Our 'Sound the Alarm' event will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Butler County United Way appreciates your help in making our Butler County community safe for everyone if they encounter an emergency!

We will all meet at Muhlhauser Barn 8558 Beckett Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069. We will be sending groups to the following areas Fairfield, Hamilton, Middletown, Oxford, Trenton and West Chester. Please let us know if you have a preference on where you volunteer.
